Severn Physiotherapy LLP are proud to announce the launch of Severn Community Therapy, a social enterprise in 2025.
Setting up a branch of our organisation as a Community Interest Company will enable us to work alongside the NHS/local council/charity and private sectors in line with our values and vision. We want to raise funds to put on inter-generational events locally, to help care homes to better support people living with frailty and dementia. We will continue to bring our physiotherapy and occupational therapy service into the living place of older people in our community. Being a social enterprise will help us grow and offer more to benefit local people in later life.
Increase therapy within care homes for residents especially those living with dementia
Run regular silent discos throughout care homes in Bristol, North Somerset and Taunton
Offer care-home based memory service to support residents, carers and family members
Thank you to North Somerset Council for nearly £2000 funding to our CIC so that we can run therapy-led silent discos in local care homes! The Physical Activity Fund exists to ensure ‘every person has the opportunity to get moving, be active, and enjoy a healthier life in their local community’. Our silent discos are an immersive way for people living with dementia in care homes to enjoy music, movement and time with carers and family. As we run these discos we will document them on our social pages – watch this space!
