Annabel Preston

Annabel qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2009 from Coventry University after completing a degree in biology at Cardiff University. She has worked in the NHS for just under 10 years working in the community seeing patients in their own home and at Southmead Hospital. Annabel has specialised in elderly care since 2012 and has worked in a community based Falls Prevention Service as well an acute complex elderly service.

Annabel is very passionate about working with the elderly in order to improve quality of life, increase confidence with day to day tasks and ensure they can achieve the goals they set. She understands the need for a holistic assessment and undertakes a range of treatments to help achieve person centred goals. She understands how reduced mobility, fear of falling and having falls can impact on day to day life and has a passion to help improve mobility, reduce falls risk and increase confidence.

Annabel currently treats patients in the following specialities:

Completing a comprehensive falls assessment to then follow on to a treatment plan

People who feel a bit ‘wobbly on their feet’ and would like to improve their balance

Mobility problems

Assessment and treatment of dizziness in relation to vestibular problems
